Conference Sign Up for Group/School

Schools, once you have a general idea of how many students from your school will be attending the conference, you can fill out the form below. This form is used to keep track of the number of schools and participants that will be attending the Conference.

Sign up to run student-organized workshop 

We invite students to host workshops related to international life, experience, or any other topics that they have knowledge and/or experiences. Students can either co-host or work closely with an adult at their school to develop their workshop.

 

Workshops should be around one hour. The deadline to submit proposals is 25th January 2024.

Q1: Is there an agenda available for the conference? 

A:  Yes, a tentative agenda is available now. The link can be found here

 

Q2: Should students plan on being part of the conference for the duration of the program or is it something they can join according to particular workshops they would like to attend and participate in?

A:  Since this is a full day, in person conference, we strongly suggest that they engage in the entire experience.

 

Q3: Do you have any guidelines for them for creating a workshop? 

A:   Yes, the guideline can be found here. After reading the guideline, if you want to create a workshop, you can sign up through this google form!  

 

Q4: Are adults welcome to go to the conference, or is it only for students? 

A:   Adults are welcome to come to the conference and join the workshop sessions! 

 

Q5: How many people are you expecting at the conference? And in each workshop? 

A:   We are expecting around one to two hundred students from a variety of independent schools on the east coast. The workshops usually include 20-25 people depending on the number of workshops there are and the preferences of group leaders.

Q6: Is there a fee to participate?

A:  Yes, to ensure the engagement of students as well as the support of the conference, we have implemented a small fee of $12USD. This fee is flexible as institutions would often cover the cost. However, if there is any economic issues involved, the fee can be easily wavered by the Governor's Academy (through emailing isconference.info@gmail.com).
